I spent nearly 30 years in branding and marketing, where my world revolved around thoughtful details — choosing the right colors, shaping designs, and crafting experiences people genuinely loved. Along the way, I discovered those same skills translated beautifully into the DIY world. Today, I design creative projects that are fun, stylish, and approachable — often featuring Chalk Couture silkscreen transfers alongside other carefully curated products and custom designs. Whether I’m leading a DIY Social, sharing ideas online, or creating step-by-step projects, my favorite role is helping people feel confident, supported, and joyful in their creativity.

For years, crafting and design were a side passion, filling evenings and weekends with meaningful projects. Over time, I felt God gently inviting me into a season of deeper creativity, connection, and service. Taking a step away from corporate leadership allowed me to build The Joyful Finch: DIY Studio + Market — a space where I could design experiences that bring people together, build confidence, and create moments of joy. This season has deepened my perspective, strengthened my leadership, and reaffirmed my passion for guiding people through meaningful, human-centered experiences.

While I’m usually the one covered in chalk and paint, my husband and son are never far away — cheering me on and jumping in to help wherever they can. Together, we’ve built something that’s not just about making pretty things, but about creating memories, sharing joy, and giving people a space to be fully present in the moment.
