I spent nearly 30 years in branding and marketing, which meant living in the details—choosing the right colors, shaping designs, and creating experiences people loved. Along the way, I discovered those same skills translate beautifully into the DIY world. Today, I design creative projects that are fun, stylish, and approachable—often featuring Chalk Couture silkscreen transfers along with other curated products and my own custom designs. Whether I’m leading a DIY Social, sharing ideas online, or inspiring others to try something new, my favorite role is helping people feel confident in their creativity.

For years, crafting and design were my side passion, filling evenings and weekends with projects. Eventually, I felt God gently leading me toward a new chapter—one centered on creativity, connection, and joy. Stepping away from corporate life wasn’t easy, but it opened the door to a dream I’d carried for years: The Joyful Finch: DIY Studio + Market. What began as a spark of inspiration has grown into an experience where people come together to create—from women enjoying a night out, to coworkers bonding as a team, and even kids’ birthday parties bursting with fun and laughter.

While I’m usually the one covered in chalk and paint, my husband and son are never far away—cheering me on and jumping in to help where they can. Together, we’ve built something that’s not just about making pretty things, but about creating memories, sharing joy, and giving people a space to be fully present in the moment.
