July Club Edit
Every month, Chalk Couture Club members receive a new project kit, and one of my favorite parts is imagining how I might give it a completely different look. The July project was this sweet little chicken, originally designed with a much brighter color palette.

It was cute as designed, but I immediately started wondering, what would this look like in colors that felt more like my home?
So I gave it a little Joyful Finch Edit.
I traded the brighter colors for warm neutrals, keeping just a touch of color in the beak. The softer palette gave the exact same project an entirely different feel and made it something I could easily tuck into my own decor.

That's what I love about DIY.
You don't have to make a project exactly the way it was designed. Change the colors. Style it differently. Add something unexpected. Sometimes those little changes are what turn a project you like into something that feels completely your own.
And that's exactly what the Joyful Finch Edit is about.

Each month, I'll take a Chalk Couture Club project and show you how I put my own spin on it. Sometimes it might be a different color palette. Other times I may change the surface, styling, or overall look.
Same starting point. A whole new possibility.
I'd love to know what you'd do with it - come tell me on Facebook or Instagram.
